Water Henna

Micro-encapsulated Natural Hair Colour

One minute to mix, thirty minutes to dye. Micro‑encapsulation removes everything that made natural henna a chore.

What was wrong with natural henna was never the colour. It was the time.

Natural henna is one of the few ways to colour hair without synthetic dye — but powder henna takes half an hour just to mix and two to twenty-four hours to develop. Water Henna uses Ons micro-encapsulation to activate the natural lawsone pigment fast, cutting preparation time by 97% and dyeing time by 75% against conventional powder henna. The colourant is 100% naturally derived, yet thirty minutes now gives the same clean, saturated result that used to take two hours. Cleared the Korean MFDS functional-cosmetic review for greying hair in 2023.

How it works
  1. 01

    Mix for a minute

Pour the Henna Oil and Henna Essence together and whisk for one minute. The thirty-minute mixing ritual is gone.

  2. 02

    The pigment wakes up

The micro-encapsulated natural lawsone pigment activates immediately.

  3. 03

    Apply

Spread it evenly. Being liquid, it does not leave the patchiness powder henna is known for.

  4. 04

    Bond, 30 minutes

Lawsone bonds with the keratin in the hair and the colour develops — 30 minutes instead of 2 to 24 hours.

  5. 05

    Rinse

Rinse it out. Greys come up orange.

  6. 06

    Indigo (optional)

Another 30 minutes with indigo turns it brown, and it deepens over the following 24 hours.

FAQ
How is it different from powder henna?

The pigment is the same natural lawsone. What differs is time — thirty minutes of mixing becomes one, and two to twenty-four hours of development becomes thirty minutes. Being liquid, it also avoids the patchy result powder henna often gives.

How do we get brown?

Henna for thirty minutes turns greys orange; another thirty minutes of indigo takes it to brown, which deepens over the next 24 hours. If you would rather do it in one step, the Brown set takes sixty minutes.

Does it contain PPD?

No. There is no PPD, no m-aminophenol and no ammonia, and zero synthetic colourant. Only ingredients rated Safe by the EWG are used, and it holds Korean MFDS functional cosmetic approval for greying hair (No. 20230026680), granted in 2023.
